Hmmm - as soon as I think we've heard the last of Dick Cheney, his political chutpzah reaches an all time high.
Apparently, there is some dispute as to which branch of the government he actually belongs - the Executive branch (which I and many others figured he actually ran) or the Legislative branch, since he's bestowed the title of President of the Senate as part of his Vice Presidential job package.
Most people will probably say this means little -- or worse, nothing -- in the grand scheme of things. But that's just the point. It's not just more Washington nonsense. Everyone should be outraged over these "little" things - because his insistence that he does not have to live under the same guidelines as everyone else is indicitave of a much more serious problem. And one that I hope can be resolved with the 2008 elections.
Outrage is a good thing. It means you still care. For my daily outrage, stop by when you can.

A Little Knowledge...
Every now and then, I come across a way technology is being used that I think is quite valuable. Cool even. And the fact that it helps the Outer Banks makes it priceless.

Who Really Cares That Much?
I am now officially outraged over the Paris Hilton matter. Besides the absolute waste of space that she is, how is it that networks are "negotiating" for post-prison interview? I heard on the radio this morning that it was a million but I can find no evidence and NBC has issued a denial. Which means nothing in the news business but I digress. Everyone involved should hang their head in shame. And Paris - the sorry excuse for a human being that she is - should donate every last penny, whatever the total, to help feed or educate others. Two things I don't think anyone ever did for her.

Outrage: Southern Style
I was asked by a reporter once what my pet peeve was. Without hesitation, I said "injustice." It's still true. (As always, thanks for the link JB)

Where is the justice?
Okay - first I have to admit I find the Paris Hilton saga very funny so I'm not really that outraged. But I have a nomination for my favorite quote of the year: “Crying works! Who knew?”

All It Takes....
When the democracy expirement officially ends in this country, it will be traced to today - a point in history when journalism stopped being a public service and became only a business. And no one did anything to stop it. (thanks for the link JB)
